Pre Purchase Questioning

Hi,

I am going to buy I just wanted to ask if their is a guide I could use to install/set up CH for Gmod?

Also, could someone explain the lua scripts and what they are used for as I've seen they can be loaded into CH? but im un clear on what affect this would have.
